FATHER FIGURE

Who was there to stay –
the pangs of death.
Tears spew free and fast
It’s like gas racing off fuel nozzle.

Adieu Papa!

First appeared a faint shadow,

Washed in chlorinated lachrymation – Tears!
This shadow metamorphosed
With muscles to bear.
Thick voice, beards, and wrappers.

This must be a man in a Woman!
“Dad came back mom,
We see him in you”

To every mom that stayed.
